  • Program Overview

    WorkSource Montgomery, in partnership with Fenote Training Academy, Primary Care Coalition, and the American Heart Association, is launching a pilot CNA to Community Health Worker (CHW) Prosperity Pipeline designed to help frontline healthcare workers advance into high-impact community health roles.
  • ****This program is hybrid, meaning most of the theoretical components are online and self-paced. Their will be provided virtual support as needed during these modules.

    Please note that the training modules consist of a 40 hour mandatory practical training at a location to be determined by Fenote Training Academy. Candidates must commit to attending this face to face training, which will be in May, 2026.

  • Who Should Apply: 

    This program is ideal for individuals who are:

    Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
    Medical Assistants or other patient-facing healthcare workers
    Interested in community-based care, patient navigation, and health education
    Seeking career advancement without leaving the healthcare field

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Age 18 or older
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Ability to participate in English-language instruction
      Commitment to completing a 12-week training program
      (Language interpretation support may be available as needed.)
    • Must be a Montgomery County, MD Resident
    • CNA certification is preferred but not required, as other patient-facing professionals are also eligible.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
